CHIPPEWA FALLS, Wisc. – As part of its nearly $1.5 million investment in the Chippewa Falls community, SpartanNash today celebrated the grand reopening of its two newest Family Fare stores, located at 17158 County Highway J and 212 Bay St. Store guests are invited to discover what’s new and fresh – and the ways Family Fare is “Keeping it real” – in both stores as part of the weeklong grand reopening celebrations.

“We are excited to introduce the Chippewa Falls community to Family Fare and all the ways we’re living our mission to be the ‘go-to’ neighborhood grocery store that provides real values, for real people,” said Chris Williamson, vice president of the Retail West Division for SpartanNash, which owns Family Fare and more than 155 retail stores in nine states. “The sign out front may be new, but you’ll still see the same smiling faces inside our rebranded Family Fare stores. Our commitment to our customers will always be our top priority, and our store associates are excited to continue to serve them as they browse, discover and indulge in our newest Family Fares.”

The two Family Fare locations in Chippewa Falls are “Keeping it real” for store guests, with five brand promises of keeping it real local; keeping it real with value beyond price; keeping it real with affordable wellness; keeping it real socially smart; and keeping it real fun and indulgent.

“We pay close attention to what our customers expect in a grocery shopping experience,” Williamson said. “Our new and improved Family Fare stores include some exciting ways to better serve our store guests – while still delivering the easy-to-navigate store, weekly ad specials and budget-friendly savings our customers expect. We want to deliver a best-in-class experience with every trip to the grocery store, while keeping it real fresh, local and interesting for our customers.”

In total, SpartanNash owns and operates 87 Family Fare stores in Iowa, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota and Wisconsin.

Both Family Fare stores in Chippewa Falls are keeping it real fresh and interesting from here on out – featuring a new look and bold, fun personality as part of the stores’ renovation and rebranding. The new look and feel are designed to deliver an exceptional customer experience based on what today’s shoppers want, when they want it, in every department of the store.

This includes promises to keep it real:

Local

We’ll always support local farmers, produces, businesses and the community – with thousands of local products throughout the store, including fresh produce from local farmers and locally sourced products, as well as store associates who live and work in Chippewa Falls. Family Fare is also keeping it real local with the company’s commitment to building stronger communities through more than $3 million in financial and product donations and nearly 60,000 volunteer hours each year, as well as hundreds of diverse career opportunities for associates in every phase of their career.

With value beyond price

We’ll always provide low prices on the items you buy and offer great weekly deals – including the convenience of expanded bakery and deli sections, featuring a menu of specialty, made-to-order bakery items, fresh-made salads and paninis and grab-and-go meal solutions, plus a wall of values, where store guests can stock up and save or grab daily deals. Family Fare is also keeping it real with the ability to have all these items and more shopped by Fast Lane personal shoppers, who know your preferences and make it quick and easy to grab your groceries with curbside pickup and at-home delivery.

With affordable wellness

We’ll always provide affordable choices that fit your budget and help you live better, healthier and happier – with a Living Well team committed to helping store guests on their wellness journey – whether you’re looking for gluten-free, plant-based proteins or natural and organic products – as well as better for him and her products and ways to spoil your furry family with fully stocked pet centers.

Socially smart

We’ll always maintain a commitment to social and environmental consciousness, because we’ve only got one planet – including corporate responsibility commitments to support the local community through food donations, sponsorships and commitments to animal welfare and clean, easy-to-read labels and reduced ingredient lists on Our Family® and Open Acres® items throughout the store.

Fun and indulgent

We’ll always provide forward thinking, interesting products that reward your experience with a sense of indulgence and discovery – with new products added to shelves every day, as well as Donut Dohjo, where gourmet donuts are made fresh every day; an expanded meat department, featuring fresh, store-made varieties of sausages and organic, natural and grass-fed options; and a sushi bar with rolls and sashimi made fresh daily.

The Bay St. Family Fare also features a bulk foods section, where store guests can make their own peanut butter or take home pre-made containers.

Both Family Fare locations will also offer Fast Lane – SpartanNash’s online grocery shopping experience available at shopthefastlane.com – allowing store guests to easily click and collect their groceries curbside. Fast Lane customers can also opt to have their groceries delivered to their home, with orders shopped at the Bay St. Family Fare.

“Our Family Fares continue to offer selection, quality and freshness throughout the store, with new and exciting elements that allow our store guests to browse, discover and even indulge with unique offerings, local products and everyday values you can’t find anywhere else,” Williamson said.

The transformation of the Family Fare stores began in May, when they were reset to make it easier for store guests to navigate the perimeter and aisles. New signs and décor were also installed to update the interior of the stores, and the exteriors received a facelift. Energy-saving lighting and equipment was also installed to brighten up the shopping experience and reduce energy consumption.
