SpartanNash Offers Free DermaView Screenings at Select Locations in July

Assess your risk for skin damage

Grand Rapids, MI, July 2, 2015 — SpartanNash store pharmacies will be hosting free DermaView Screenings in July at select locations to help the community assess their risk for skin damage. The DermaView Screening is a skin screening that uses a non-harmful ultra-violet light to determine the sensitivity, dryness, and conditions of an individual’s facial skin. These screenings will be administered by a Registered Nurse. Sun, soaps, and other pollutants can have a negative impact on skin, which could eventually result in skin cancer. This test is completely safe and allows both the health care staff (Registered Nurse) and the patient to personally view the condition of the individual’s facial skin. Each individual will receive a one- page report showing the condition of his or her facial skin and a handout on how to screen for melanoma.

All screenings will be a one day event from 10:00 am to 1:00 pm and they are FREE to all participants. Do you have invisible sun damage on your face? Get a FREE DermaView skin screening at your local SpartanNash store. For a store listing with dates and times please see below:

It is important as we head into summer to keep your skin care health a priority. Kayaking, biking, running, and swimming are all great activities to keep us fit and enjoy summer but can be dangerous for your skin. Figure out now what shape your skin is in. From sun damage to skin cancer, it is important to test your skin’s fitness in order to make smart decision and proper precautions before heading outside into the summer sun.
