Summary: Shining Sea Fish Co. has issued a voluntary recall on all lot codes currently available of Ma Cohen’s Kippered Herring due to product found to have not been properly eviscerated (internal organs not removed), which could allow Clostridium botulinum to grow. Clostridium botulinum can cause a severe, life-threatening illness or death. Consumers should not consume the product. No other Ma Cohen products are impacted by this recall.
