ST. IGNACE, Mich. — March 27, 2026 — For the first time in 25 years, the St. Ignace Family Fare® has undergone a comprehensive remodel, modernizing a vital grocery destination serving both the local community and year-round residents of Mackinac Island.
The transformation includes expanded fresh departments across dairy, meat and produce, refreshed bakery offerings, a full-service floral department, widened aisles, updated flooring and refreshed signage designed to make shopping easier and more enjoyable. The store now delivers an elevated experience for shoppers — both local and seasonal — featuring a brand-new classic donut program and fresh pastries, expanded cold beer space and new ready-to-drink favorites year-round.
The milestone was celebrated alongside community members with a kid-led ribbon cutting and a $2,500 check presentation to St. Ignace Area Schools, highlighting Family Fare’s long-standing role in supporting the region.
