Double Up Food Bucks™
SpartanNash is proud to be the first leading major food retailer to offer SNAP shoppers easier, more affordable access to healthy fruits and vegetables through the Double Up Food Bucks program. For each dollar of fresh or frozen produce SNAP shoppers purchase using their EBT Bridge Card and rewards account at participating Family Fare and VG’s Grocery locations, an equivalent amount will be earned and placed on their rewards account for a future purchase – helping families make their dollars go further.
Effective Nov. 1, 2025, SNAP shoppers can now earn more (up to $99 per day) – and redeem more (up to $30 per day). The increased earning and spending limits will be in effect until the end of the year, and all points earned in 2025 will expire at the end of the year.

Administered by Fair Food Network and offered at 43 SpartanNash company-operated stores throughout Michigan, the Double Up Food Bucks produce incentive program is a national model for healthy food initiatives with support from federal, state and private sources. The Double Up Food Bucks program enables Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) participants to earn free produce when they buy fruits and vegetables with their SNAP benefit at participating retailers.
For each dollar of fresh or frozen produce SNAP customers purchase using their EBT Bridge Card and rewards account at participating Family Fare and VG’s Grocery locations, an equivalent amount of dollars will be earned and placed on their rewards account for a future purchase, up to $99 per day. Shoppers can then redeem the dollars for free fruits and vegetables, up to $30 per day. Points will expire at the end of the year.
