The newest Hispanic grocery location offers a smaller, convenience-centered format for the community
OMAHA, Neb. – Jan. 6, 2026 – Food solutions company SpartanNash®, a member of the C&S Wholesale Grocers family of companies, recently celebrated the grand opening of its first small-format Supermercado Nuestra Familia®. At nearly 14,000 square feet, the store is designed for fast, easy shopping — offering the authentic Hispanic products and cultural experiences shoppers expect with the added benefit of convenience. From fresh meats and pastries to traditional spices, the store provides everything families need to start the New Year with flavor, culture and connection.
The Supermercado Nuestra Familia — located at 2323 L Street in Omaha, Neb. — is strategically situated near community schools and directly on a bus route, offering families convenient access for quick shopping trips before or after school and work.

The L Street Supermercado Nuestra Familia delivers a convenient, market-style shopping experience with exciting features, including:

The grand opening celebration featured a ribbon-cutting ceremony with local leaders and community partners, followed by special deals, exciting giveaways and family-friendly entertainment throughout the afternoon. As part of the festivities, a $5,000 check was presented to South High School, highlighting Supermercado Nuestra Familia’s ongoing investment in Nebraska schools and communities.
Since 2013, Supermercado Nuestra Familia has focused on quality, convenience and community. With three Omaha locations at the start of 2025, the banner has since doubled in size adding two additional locations in Omaha and expanding to Topeka, Kan. in December.
